Our current Senate District 11 is vacant and a special election is being held on December 9 to elect a new state senator.
Voters signed up for vote by mail in Sumter County should have received their ballot in the mail. It must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 5pm on election day.
Early voting will start on November 29 and end on December 6. To find an early voting location, click here. You may early vote at any site.
On election day, December 9, you must vote at your precinct voting site. You may find your precinct and voting site by clicking here.
If you have received a ballot in the mail, you may still vote at an early voting site or at your precinct on election day, as long as you have not submitted your completed ballot. If you would like to join us in a golf cart caravan where we will turn in our ballots at the Supervisor of Elections office, we will hold our caravan on November 18, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. We will also collect non-perhishable foodstuff at 9:30 to help support the Wildwood Soup Kitchen. You may sign up for the caravan by clicking here.
We have a great Democratic candidate running in the election, Ash Marwah and because this will likely be a very low voter turnout election, Democrats have a chance to really make a difference. Check out Ash and his candidacy by clicking here.
